Review of the Week

Let's see what's been happening this week:

Marvel News - No more Andrew Garfield?
Just to make it clear that this at the moment is nothing more than just rumors and reports as there hasn't been any official word about it as of yet. So earlier this week, reports surfaced that Spider-Man may be joining the MCU with Andrew Garfield, but a new report has stated that Spider-Man has been recast, the Venom spin-off film is dead in the water and Sony don't know what to do with the Spider-Man property. Now Garfield has been contracted for 3 Spider-Man films (2 of which he has now done) and it looks like that film has been pushed all the way to 2018 to allow Sony to make way for various spin-off films such as a Sinister Six one which has been reported to soft reboot the whole Spider-Man franchise (again) with Spider-Man himself working with the villains. Now, I do find that it can be a risk for Sony to introduce the world to some very unknown characters in the Spider-Man universe, but that being said, let's not forget that another unknown until quite recently property of Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy, was shown to the world and everyone instantly fell in love with this new set of heroes. But that's from a Marvel Universe that has already been very successful both critically and commercially. So as long as Sony know what they are doing, I'm sure Spidy's future is in safe hands for the time being and even if Sony fail to give us another Spider-Man film in the near future, it doesn't mean that he won't be back on the big screen for good because as things go these days, he'll likely be put into the MCU seeing as the deal that Disney and Marvel have is (from my point of view) if someone other than Disney and Marvel had the rights to a Marvel property but no activity was recorded in regards to any films being made (which was the main bit, but it could be any other thing as well) after such a long period of time, the rights would be reverted back to Marvel and Disney who would then use those properties for their own plans which could be having those properties in the MCU or some other thing like Disney Infinity. What ever way it goes, Spider-Man's future is in safe hands

In other news, Disney XD is set to have another Star Wars show but this time about the Rebels, Nintendo and Platinum Games not happy with fan requests, a Dark Arts area is now available at the Making of Harry Potter tour in the UK, Walt Disney World decides to try a new way to allow visitors on rides without qeues, LEGO has Jurrassic World sets on the way along with some new Minecraft ones too, Angry Birds Seasons to get new levels as part of a deal with NBA and WB has plans for a LEGO Batman spin-off from the LEGO Movie and it will be fast tracked.

So now onto the week's film and video game releases in most areas:

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, Not Good, Very Bad Day (Some areas with more to follow)
Dracula Untold (Most areas with more to follow)
The Judge (Some areas with more to follow)
