Quite a lot happened this week so let's get right to it:
Nintendo News - What to expect in Smash Bros. for Wii U and other news
So Nintendo have had a pretty good week this week with the long awaited Bayonetta 2 released today in western regions exclusively on Wii U (and you can get the first game as part of a bundle or just get it off the Wii U eShop) which may anger long time fans who played the first game on PS3 and/or Xbox 360 but that's OK, Mario Kart 8 having the Yoshi Circuit from Double Dash to make a second return (breaking the long time rule of every track can only be bought back once as it was in DS as well), Nintendo taking advantage of the themes on 3DS by giving Club Nintendo members a free Halloween one, Pokemon getting some form of app on iOS devices and of course a video that was streamed last night on what to expect in Smash Bros. for Wii U. The video is pretty much what you'd expect to hear about as it goes through all the things that the Wii U version will have that is either an advantage or a disadvantage to 3DS players who have the game on 3DS and from what the video has told us (which by the way (slight spoiler alert) has just over 50 must see things), it may look like the Wii U version will be the better one out of the two. But of course, no Smash Bros. video wouldn't be complete without not one but two character reveals. The first has its own trailer and I think when the trailer starts playing, you'll know who (or in this case they) will be and if you've unlocked everything on the 3DS game by this point, not really that big of a surprise. But what is a surprise is who the other character is and this character is in neither game as it will be the first DLC character with the DLC being free and this character hasn't been playable in the series since his debut in Melee. He's a Pokemon who was among the first of the Legendary Pokemon to be introduced to the world, but possibly didn't become well known until his appearance as the "sort of" main antagonist in Pokemon: The First Movie. I think you all know who it is. So yeah, a pretty good week for Nintendo so let's hope they keep having good weeks like this in future.
In other news, I ask the question "Are Disney and Marvel set to take X-Men, Fantastic Four and Spider-Man in the near future with those films not doing as well as the MCU films?" which in turn would force Marvel to not introduce any new X-Men characters nor continue the publishing of Fantastic Four comics because of the risks involved, PS4 gets an update very soon, Assassin's Creed Unity may look to be a very big and beautiful game according to a new video that talks about the open world that the game has, LEGO may be releasing more Simpsons sets in future beginning with the Kwik-E-Mart, upcoming live action DC films and the shows Arrow and Flash are all rumoured to be set in the same universe and Mortal Kombat may be joining the video game film train as a film series has been announced by Warner Bros.
And now for the week's film and video game releases in most areas:
