So before I talk about the first half of the series finale (and forgive me if I haven't done so for the past several weeks), I would like to credit the man who has made these movie like posters for every episode of this series (in an ever so slightly similar fashion to what we got for the second half of series 7 last year) Stuart Manning who made these posters for the Radio Times (which is one of many British television guides out there) to coincide with each episode. So anyway, everything in the series has been leading up to this. Where are the dead going? Who is this Missy character? What is the Promised Land? But most importantly, what do the Cybermen have to do with all this? All will be revealed in this 2 part finale which is expected to be 105 minutes long in total if you combine both episodes together (and that the second half is 60 minutes long). Been a while since we had a 2 parter and boy do I enjoy those ones. So let's take a look:
So the episode begins with Clara talking to Danny on the phone when all of a sudden, something happens to him. She then tries to contact the Doctor about this which results in her getting on the Tardis and trying to get the Doctor to help her find Danny. The duo go to find him, but they might be getting more than what they bargained for.
Now those of you who were thinking that Missy is the Rani, prepare to be disappointed, but surprised as well. Now as everyone knows, the Cybermen do play a part in this story and its quite surprising the way they are involved in this whole Promised Land business. Lots of surprises, twists and turns as well as some top notch acting from the main characters, all of which makes me look forward to the second half and boy it better be worth the wait.
