Here's what's been happening this week:
TV Theory - Who will die in The Simpsons Season 26 Premiere?
So I thought to myself to do a little theory about this seeing as I haven't really touched on it in great detail so anyway here we go. So earlier this year, it was announced by show producer Al Jean that a major character in The Simpsons will die at the start of the season and as far as we know, the above characters Milhouse, Abraham Simpson, Skinner, Rabbi, Marge, Homer, Lisa, Grounds keeper Willie, Lenny, Reverend Lovejoy, Moe, Sea Captain, Sideshow Mel, Krusty, Bart and Kent Brockman are all up as possibilities. This image comes from a more recent promo for the episode which will be called "Clown in the Dumps", meaning that any one of these characters will die. Now it isn't the first time this show and practically any show have killed characters off as we've had quite a few killed off in the past and a few that are more retired than killed off. What we know is that this character has been seen teaming up with Bart in the past (ruling out Lenny, Reverend Lovejoy, Sideshow Mel and Kent Brockman) and the voice actor has won an Emmy for this role, it won't be any of Hank Azaria's characters (which rules out Moe), it won't be Homer despite part of the episode focusing on Lisa trying to protect Homer from getting hurt, it could be Krusty as the episode is called "Clown in the Dumps" where Krusty retires from being offended on a roast of him, as described by Al Jean the character that is killed off isn't iconic as such but is known to be a terrific character, but I think the one thing we can all agree on is that chances are it won't be any of the Simpsons family because they are the ones that make the show what it is. But the thing about the guy winning an Emmy for the role, might say otherwise. In my opinion, it would be a real shame if the character was a long running one who has been in the show since its early days and I would love it if the character that dies was one that none of us would've thought to be the one that dies because its a surprise. But if anything, one thing we do know is that unlike Family Guy, the character will stay dead, but may possibly appear in future episodes like the Treehouse of Horror ones. Guess we'll find out on Sunday on who goes knocking on heaven's (or hell's) door followed by a visit from the Griffins.
And for the week's news, Wii U might be doing a little better this year than last year but all its sales are from Nintendo's own set of games and not third parties, Phase 3 of the MCU may change the tone a little bit after Avengers: Age of Ultron, Sony and Ubisoft unite with the UK government to fund the next generation of game designers, Sunset Overdrive will be the biggest game Insomniac Games have ever made so far running at a whopping 900p at 30fps, The New 52 may finally have a crisis occur and Angry Birds Transformers will be a 2D side scrolling run and gun game according to the newest trailer.
And so we move on to the week's film and video game releases in most areas:
Films:
Finding Fanny (Some areas with more to follow and before you ask, no this is not a porno flick)
The Equalizer (Most if not all areas with more to follow)
