Happy Halloween everyone.
Well as its near enough to November, here's what's to come:
For most of this month, I'll be doing reviews of some random films as well as Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. If there are other films that come out next month that interest me, then I'll review those as well if I have the time to.
Its going to be quite a big month for video games so there will be reviews of Sunset Overdrive, Assassin's Creed Unity and Rouge, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham and a late review of Hyrule Warriors and Angry Birds Transformers. Might also do LittleBigPlanet 3 as well, but we'll see how things go.
And next month, I will finally give you the big Batman post that will celebrate his 75th anniversary. Hope you all look forward to it.
As for TV reviews, there will be 2 Doctor Who ones that will cover the 2 part series 8 finale and will also continue doing Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Gotham as well until both seasons of both shows have finished which won't be for a while yet.
And as always, Review of the Week and Videos and Song of the Week posts will come on as normal in the weekends.
So that's that, let's do a theory/opinion on certain topics:
Cartoon Theory - Cartoon Network a shared universe
Now its easy enough to work out when a series of cartoons and films are in the same universe as they would often follow a pattern of things and would reference events that have happened in those things as well. But when a theory comes up that has you believe that a whole group of shows that show little to no connection of being in the same universe is in a shared universe, its kind of surreal in way and one of those things, is Cartoon Network. Now I was bought up with watching a lot of cartoons on this channel and for all the shows that I watched, people saying that their in a shared universe is kind of hard to believe, but there is proof of such a thing. The Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Laboratory are both considered being in the same universe as the Justice Friends (who can be described as spoofs of DC and Marvel characters) appear on both shows, though are seen more often with Dexter than with the girls and also Dexter makes small appearances in Powerpuff Girls as well. Then comes Samurai Jack who the places he goes to, include a post apocalypse version of Townsville which proves to be that city as it has the same look and a similar dog poster as well. Then there's Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy who by default, share the same universe as the short lived Evil Con Carne because since that show died due to the popularity of the former, characters from that show appear on Billy and Mandy. There's also this deal that that show has where they crossover with the Flintstones and since the Jetsons have done the same with than show, that then connects all those shows together. But when the crossover known as The Grim Adventures of the KND came around (great crossover by the way), this then proved this theory to be true as nearly everyone from both shows and some other Cartoon Network shows like the ones already mentioned and Ed, Edd N Eddy and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, are involved in some form or another. So really the answer to this theory is, yes. All these shows and others (not ones that have recently come out of course) all share the same universe, but when the mighty Aku came round, he pretty much wiped out all those shows with Samurai Jack being the only survivor as shown in that show as it references most of the shows mentioned here. More proof to this theory can come in the form of those bumpers in the ad breaks that features a number of characters interacting with each other. Its a pretty fun theory to figure out and its one that many can find to be similar to one about Pixar's films and as someone who has been bought up watching a lot of shows on Cartoon Network, all I can say is "What happened man? What happened to the greatness that you once have and now just show a pile of c**p? (though I do enjoy Adventure Time because that's quite good because of the randomness that the show has).
