Doctor Who Review: Let's Kill Hitler (S6, E8)

Well Doctor Who is back and its bigger than ever. For those of you who aren't aware, the current series of Doctor Who was split into 2 halves this year to allow more time for creating the episodes presumably (with Torchwood acting as filler). Right onto the review:

SPOILERS!!!!

The episode (as expected) starts off with a flashback of the events from the first half of the series until we reach a corn/wheat field where Amy and Rory (who presumably were bought back home by River Song) attempt to create a crop circle to bring The Doctor back to earth and they succeed. The Doctor appears with the Tardis only to later be interrupted by Amy and Rory's childhood friend and troublemaker Mels who upon arrival whips out a gun and forces The Doctor (who she finds hot than funny as what Amy said to her) to travel in time or as she puts it "Kill Hitler". As the opening credits roll, we then see a flashback of Amy and Rory's childhood which tells us how they know Mels and how Amy and Rory fall in love (the end result is quite funny). Getting back to the Tardis now and Mels somehow shoots the Tardis forcing it to crash land in you guessed it, Hitler's Office where Hitler is greeted and nearly killed by a human which is being controlled by micro humans (in other words a human robot). Somehow the micro humans know of the death of The Doctor and who the killer is. Because Hitler is unaware of many of these things, Rory locks him in a cupboard while Mels reveals to the trio that she is Amy and Rory's daughter which could only mean one thing. She then regenerates and transforms in you guessed it, River Song aka Melody. Because River does not know about what happens to The Doctor later on, she kisses The Doctor which somehow makes him go to the process known as death. River then goes to a Nazi party to get some clothes while Amy and Rory get sucked into the robot and discover more about what they do. The Doctor appears and asks about what the micro humans do which then leads into the micro humans dieing from their own security system. Rory and Amy are saved by River who somehow knows how to fly the Tardis and gets them out only to witness the death of The Doctor. River then transfers her immortality to The Doctor to save him allowing her to become mortal (hence the reason why she can't change) and after leaving River in a hospital, The Doctor, Amy and Rory take off but are all aware of whats to come.

Considering that this is River's first meeting with The Doctor, it actually makes a lot of sense in some cases but likewise its still confusing. Also the episode could've had a better name as it does mention Hitler and I only saw like 10 minutes of him which is not good at all. at least show more of him next time. And if they want to get a award this year, they will have to do better than that in terms of episode names and the story if it's going to make any sense. Just saying. 6/10

Movie Review - Inside Out 2

I guess a sequel to the first makes sense here. I mean, for the most part, this franchise is all about the subject of growing up and with ...
