Random Movie Review - Batman VS Robin

I think with everything DC has going on right now, it doesn't surprise me that we would eventually see Batman go up against his sidekick Robin. Its was inevitable that we would one day see this. But keep in mind people that even though Batman's main sidekick is Robin, there have been a few people who have taken on the mantle which Arkham Knight showed. But anyway, let's see how the fight that has been a long time coming, plays out:

So picking up after Batman and Son, Damien Wayne (reprised by Stuart Allan) is continuing to get used to being the new Robin, but continually disobeys Batman (reprised by Jason O'Mara), leaving the caped crusader to not trust him at all. During one investigation, the duo find and stop the Dollmaker (voiced by Weird Al) from his plans of taking children and making them better (much like how Pyg does to his victims in Arkham Knight) but this leads into a mysterious figure coming and killing the villain, which then leads to Damien seeking out the figure and Batman to find out more about the so called Court of Owls, a society of which has never been mentioned to him since he was a little boy. And then it leads into a master plan where Damien must choose to either join the Court of Owls or remain with Batman while Batman himself becomes a target for the Owls, putting himself into danger.

So here's the thing. This film feels more like one that explores the whole father and son scenario that a variety of films tend to use these days and it does work to an extent, but I will say that I was expecting there to be this big grand fight between our two titular characters and in the end, it was a very disappointing fight, but there is a lot more other action scenes that make up for it. Its in no way the best animated Batman film out there, but it certainly showed us something that fans have been wanting to see happen for years. Its just a shame that the execution of it didn't go as I was expecting it. 7/10
