So it's another week when not much has happened, but that can all change in the stuff I talk about today:
James Bond 007 News - Next Film Details
While there hasn't been much said about the upcoming 24th film, we now know that it will come in 2016 which comes from the franchise's distributor MGM. Its unknown as to whether the current Bond, Daniel Craig will return to it and the directors of Skyfall and Happy and Glorious (the 23rd film and the short Olympics film, respectively), Same Mendes and Danny Boyle respectively, have both ruled them out of doing the next film which leaves Guy Ritchie who is yet to say about doing the next film and is so far, the fan favourite. In addition to all this, Doctor Who star Matt Smith has expressed an interest in being a Bond villain in the next one. So all that sounds good, however I don't really see how Matt Smith can play a villain in a big budget film with his commitment to Doctor Who, which as we all know, is the only thing he works on these days (although I could be wrong).
Nintendo News - Age Restriction Lifted in eShop and Nintendo tells retailers that sell the Wii U and 3DS to "Keep Calm and Carry On"
When the Wii U was released, Nintendo had an age restriction on the eShop so that anyone who wants to buy games like Assassin's Creed 3, Batman: Arkham City, Mass Effect 3, ZombiU etc. can now buy them at anytime of the day, rather than late at night. Following an analysis on the parental controls system on both the Wii U and 3DS in co-operation with USK (the German Entertainment Software Self-Regulation Body), It was deemed that the parental control system set up by Nintendo on both platforms was found to have proved itself in practise. This answers the question as to why we had to wait so long for this to happen which in the case of the Wii U wan't too bad as it was only a few months since its launch, but for the 3DS it was 2 years. Next thing you know, both consoles will be limited like their predecessors, but lets not jump to conclusions for now. In other Nintendo news this week, with all the price drops that have been happening, Nintendo has decided to meet with the retailers to discuss about ways to improve their strategy and growth for both the Wii U and 3DS as a year of great games and features are what Nintendo want to do (especially with Luigi). So really all they are saying is "Calm down will you, everything is going to be fine. Just give us a moment of your time for us to explain things". Let's hope all goes well with the company in a very exciting year for gaming.
YouTube News - A Billion Viewers
Thanks all the big YouTube videos, YouTube has managed to surpass a billion views on the site and has entered a new generation called Generation C. Its complicated to explain so what I'll tell you is that it shows that YouTube can be accessed in almost every device and everyone tunes in to the site every month and enjoys it. Yeah I know it's not really explained well, so that's the best you're going to get I'm afraid.
