Random Movie Review: A Bug's Life

A Bug's Life is one of those films that you don't think much of to begin with, but once you see it, you get pleasantly surprised. That was my reaction to this film when I first saw it as a kid. Its an OK film with some great humour and family friendly fun throughout and I shall now tell you what's it's all about:

The film focuses on Flick, a ant who is part of a colony of ants that do their best to serve (in this case), their masters, the Grasshoopers, led by their own leader, Hopper. Flick has been known to cause problems in and around the colony with his obscure inventions and after making the biggest mistake of his life, he is then banished from the colony, but hopes to return with fighters, but he instead gets some circus bugs. Will it all go down well? Watch it to find out.

Overall, it's not as great as Toy Story was, but it's still a pretty good film nevertheless. It's funny, has some originality (and I say that because the Dreamworks film, Antz used this idea already and was released before this film) and I'm sure anyone will enjoy watching it for what it's worth. Its Pixar after all, how bad could they get (oh yeah, Cars!!!). 9/10
