So after a week of really dodgy weather (well at least here in the UK of course), here's what's been happening this week:
DC News - Zack Snyder to speak to Frank Miller very soon
Now last week, it was announced that the next installment in the series that began with Man of Steel, would be a film that features both Superman and Batman, presumably a VS battle that ends with the 2 teaming up. So this week, it was rumoured that Snyder would be meeting Frank Miller, the writer of a lot of Batman comics (and its best if you watch Atop the Fourth Wall if you want to know what his comics are like) to discus the next film. Honestly, this seemed like an appropriate step considering that a Batman and Superman film has to be done right for it to work.
Doctor Who News - Who is the next Doctor?
That has been a question that everyone has been asking since the announcement of Matt Smith leaving the role after 4 years and its been confirmed that an announcement will be made in a special program on BBC One (UK) and BBC America (USA) this Sunday at 7pm UK time. Will it be something out of the ordinary (like a woman, honestly its going to happen one day so if you fanboys don't like it, thats your problem) or will it just be another doctor like the ones above? Guess we'll have to wait and see.
And to wrap up this week's news, Nintendo not doing well in Wii U sales but its a different matter for games, PS4 may come in December (and my wallet will be crying in agony no doubt), Batman Arkham Origins will be the first in the series to have a multiplayer mode (which by the way, is looking fantastic) and a direct to DVD film set in the Arkhamverse is in the works and the heavily priced Xbox One may be out in November.
Thats all for this week's news so here's this week's film and video game releases:
Films:
The Smurfs 2 (Most countries with more to follow and I won't be reviewing this for a while yet)
2 Guns (USA and Turkey only with more countries to follow)
The Spectacular Now (USA only with no plans for release in other countries)
Video Games:
Cloudberry Kingdom (PS3, Steam, Xbox 360 and Wii U via download) (Worldwide)
Rise of the Triad (Windows via download) (North America and Europe only with no plans for other countries)
