Doctor Who Review - The Fifth Doctor (Peter Davison)

Next up is Peter Davison who played the fifth incarnation of the doctor for 3 years (1981-1984) and appeared in 2 specials. He is the only doctor of the classic series to have made a physical appearance in the revival series alongside his now son-in-law, David Tennant who was the current incarnation of the doctor at the time of his appearance. He was also the youngest actor to have played the doctor, until that rank was taken by Matt Smith 30 years later.

This wasn't one of the more popular doctors in that he was more vulnerable and reserved than before. He isn't as smart as before as he makes decisions by flipping a coin and often prefers following orders of someone else, rather than him making the orders. However despite all those things, there are a few good things about him. He is more courageous than other incarnations and often managed to hide the fact of him being an experienced Time Lord from those around him.

As the doctor, he isn't one of the greatest in that he hasn't got the courage and leadership skills that the other doctors have, but he does manage to hide a lot of important facts about him form his allies which for the most part, you could say is a bit odd and weird. 8/10
