Well it seems that the first week of October has been quite busy, so here's what's been happening:
Nintendo News - Latest NDirect News
There was a Nintendo Direct this week and as usual, plenty of announcements were made. DKC Tropical Freeze gets delayed to 2014, Sonic returns to Smash Bros for the 4th instalment, Pikmin 3 gets a software update and DLC (both out now), Mario 3D World coming out in November with special Wii Remote Plus packs coming as well, Some explanations are said on some of the minigames in Wii Party U (out in a few weeks), Mario + Sonic at the Sochi Winter Olympics out in early November (early December for Japan), Zelda: Link Between Worlds out in November and players can do the dungeons in any order they wish, A new Kirby title is announced for 3DS with no news about a name or release date (guess we'll have to wait a while until that suffices), Wii Karaoke U out now, Sonic Lost World out this month and gets a new trailer, Scribblenauts Unlimited out in November (December for Europe), Next Ace Attorney game out later this month and will be the first to feature voice acting and anime like cutscenes (similar to Proffessor Layton who will be having a crossover next year) also a download only title as well, Bravely Default will be out in December and the Wii U gets a system update this week as well. So its looking pretty good for Nintendo so far, but how will they cope with the release of the PS4 and Xbox One next month, I wonder.
In a round up of this week's other news, PS3 and Vita both get system updates, GTA Online launches this week (and has some problems and no, I'm not going to review it), LEGO expands its business into China (the home of LEGO knock offs), Tom Clancy (the man who created the Splinter Cell series among other things) dies at age 66 with Ubisoft finding a way to fulfil his legacy and someone from the Simpsons will get killed off in season 25 (not the first time mind you).
What a busy week. Now here's the week's film and video game releases:
Films:
Gravity (Worldwide release with more to follow. May review this, but not for a while)
Video Games:
Flashback (XBLA, PSN and Windows) (Worldwide)
NBA 2K14 (PS3, X360 and Windows) (Worldwide)
