Review of the Week

Because I'm hitting burnout again, I'll be taking next week off from blogging seeing as I've done some quite big blog posts in the past month but don't worry, there will be a film and video game related post as always next week, but there won't be any review, videos and song of the week next week. So on that note, let's have a look at what's been happening this week:

Theories - The Truth About Hollywood (these days)
Not a lot is going on so you know what that means, another theory. So a lot of people have been talking about this for a while so he's my opinions on the matter. In more recent years, I've noticed that most films that we get these days, are just bad and the thing is, most film makers these days are just in it for the money. Whatever happened to the days where people showed signs of care and love in film. Those days are long gone and now were getting countless remakes and sequels to films that we either love or hate and generally those said sequels and remakes are not as good as the first/original film. I guess in some way, the film makers look at the box office figures to determine on whether to make a sequel or not and don't even bother to check what people have said about it and it really does p**s me off. Now in some way, it can be the fault of the distrubutor in this case as some of them make their films into franchises because they feel that the films will do well and in truth, a lot of them don't. There is a lack of originality in a lot of films as most of them generally use up ideas that have already been done before like overused clichies (You won't get away with this and I already have is one that I hate the most out of all of them) not to mention adaptations showing little to no connection with the source material. I know in regards to money, its a big deal and a lot of people do things for money because that's what makes the world go round. But all that I'm asking is for the film makers and distrubutors to at the very least put a bit of love and care into their work and to not rush it and get the right people for the job and fire those who do a terrible job (Yes Bay, you are among those who needs to be fired). Because if you keep going this way, you will be the sole reason for the downfall of Hollywood and regardless of money, we will continue to tear your films apart piece by piece until the end of time itself and until you learn from the mistakes that you have made.

EA is having problems with Dungeon Keeper with backlash from the press, Xbox are not mad with Bungie switching alliances with Sony, Angry Birds Seasons and Go gets updated, picking writers for Series 8 of DW may have now been completed, Sales of the Vita go up in Japan and Prometheus 2 may not be getting Ridley Scott to direct.

Now for the week's film and video game releases in most areas:

Films:
Deliver Us from Evil (Some areas with more to follow)
Earth to Echo (Some areas with more to follow)
Tammy (Some areas with more to follow, but not everywhere will get it)

Video Games:
Divinity: Original Sin (Windows and MAC) (Worldwide)
Sniper Elite III (PS3, PS4, XB1, 360 and Windows) (Worldwide)
Civilization Revolution 2 (iOS) (Worldwide)

Movie Review - Inside Out 2

I guess a sequel to the first makes sense here. I mean, for the most part, this franchise is all about the subject of growing up and with ...
