Let's see what's been happening in this quite jam packed week:
Nintendo News - Direct Recap
Its been quite a while since we've had a general Nintendo Direct as many of them that came around since E3 were all game specific. But now we finally get one that talks about all things coming from Nintendo in the near future. So we get the official reveal trailer for Smash Bros. newcomer Duck Hunt Duo (but anyone who actually has played the 3DS version of the game will know this already) and a few new things coming to that game, the reveal of the original Duck Hunt game coming to the Wii U Virtual Console service, Zelda: Majora's Mask getting remade for 3DS (and anybody living in the Europe region will be able to get a special edition of the game that comes with some pretty good looking freebies), a single player campaign coming to the upcoming Wii U game Splatoon, the official release date for Mario Kart 8's first big DLC pack which will be on Thursday next week, every amiibo figure will be compatible with Hyrule Warriors and certain ones for Mario Kart 8, local multiplayer coming to Kirby's Non-Virtual Console Wii U debut, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker coming out in January accompanied with a new trailer, Pikmin getting their own series of short films which can be seen in 3D on 3DS and in HD on Wii U. All this plus a lot of love for indie games and its good to see Iwata looking well since his surgery earlier this year. All these games will be coming in the remainder of 2014 and the first 2 quarters of 2015 so look forward to them. I personally cannot wait.
In other news, The Simpsons gear up for another crossover this weekend with the cast of Futurama, Harry Potter actors are set to appear at Universal Orlando real soon, if you're waiting for South Park to join the freemium mobile game market that The Simpsons and Family Guy are on prepare to be dissapointed, Nolan denies having anything to do with Marvel, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. may be the show that starts the Civil War to tie in with Captain America: Civil War and Star Wars 7 finally has a name which is The Force Awakens.
Now onto the week's film and video game releases in most areas:
