So let's see what's been happening this week:
Nintendo News - DS's 10th Birthday
10 years ago today, Nintendo released their first non GameBoy console which marked the end of an era for them and since that very day, the DS has gone on to give us new experiences with touch screens, dual screens and a whole new way to play using the touch screen and going online. Through this console, we got to know and love some of the consoles biggest games like Professor Layton, Ace Attorney, Brain Training among others, some of which made their debut (or in some cases, western debut) on this very platform. Yeah it was tailored more to the casual audience, but a lot of people enjoyed the platform a lot. I personally cannot believe how long its been since it first came out and its great that even though the 3DS has surpassed it, its still remembered as being among the best of portable consoles, even though there was some competition with Sony's PSP and the mobile market too.
In other news, after 3 years on the shelves the 3DS finally gets hacked, the Stephen King novel The Stand will become a 4 part film made by WB according to a guy called Josh Boone, The Simpsons Tapped Out gets a Thanksgiving update, it seems that Peter Capaldi is loving being the Doctor according to and interview, there may be no end to the Final Fantasy series of video games according to the developers and BioWare may decide to create a Mass Effect trilogy for 8th gen platforms consisting of the Shepard saga games.
Now onto the week's film and video game releases in most areas:

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 (Most areas with more to follow. Review in 2 weeks)
