Review of the Week

Let's see what's been happening this week:

Superhero Thursday
Yesterday proved to be a big day for all things superheroes as rumours spread about Phil Lord and Chris Miller of LEGO Movie fame, possibly getting the opportunity to direct the DC Cinematic Universe Flash film. Now that is a great way to go, but as everyone knows, Warner Bros. intention is to take things more seriously than how Disney and Marvel are doing so chances of it having comedy are pretty slim (and besides the last time a superhero film by WB had humour in it, it didn't go well), but Lord and Miller can make things serious as well as humorous so if they get directing duties on this film, then who knows what can happen. On the same day, the Daredevil costume for the Netflix series was officially revealed (and looks very different to the Ben Affleck one which I'm not entirely sure if you'd say that's a good thing, but anyway), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans can look forward to a spin-off series which people are hoping will have more of a superhero focus and the future is looking bright for DC in television and films as is Marvel. Also DC is wanting Furious 7 director James Wan for the Aquaman film

In other news, Ryan Gosling is in talks to star in Guillermo Del Toro's take on The Haunted Mansion (the upcoming second Disney film based on the Disney theme park attraction of the same name), Mass Effect 4 may see a release in a year's time according to analyst, Daniel Radcliffe is in talks to appear in the Rockstar Games biopic about GTA,  work on the upcoming Incredibles sequel is finally underway, Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams teases us on an upcoming role of hers in Doctor Who, Rock Horror Picture Show may get itself a remake soon and the Star Wars films go digital, but drop the 20th Century Fox logos (except for A New Hope which Fox have permanent rights for).

Now onto the week's film and video game releases:

Films:
The Longest Ride (Most areas with more to follow)

Video Games:
Pokemon Rumble World (3DS) (Worldwide)
