TV Episode Review - One of Us (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S2, E13) + The Blind Fortune Teller (Gotham S1, E16

This week, the bad guys take over a stadium of some sort in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and a familiar mad man from the circus makes his long awaited debut in Gotham. Let's tune in shall we:

One of Us
So a group of several "gifted" individuals led by Cal who all have something against S.H.I.E.L.D. make a journey to a school stadium and wait for Coulson's arrival who unbeknowest to Cal, has his daughter Skye listed as an Inhuman following the events of the mid season finale. Coulson decides to call in some outside help for Skye and asks May to get in touch with her ex-husband Dr. Andrew Garner (played by Blair Underwood) who consulted S.H.I.E.L.D. previously and upon his arrival, agrees to help Skye on the condition that she gets to see his reports. Little do they know however that a couple of Coulson's team are secretly working for what they claim to be "the real S.H.I.E.L.D. Its a pretty good episode that has a few twists and turns and further helps establish the Inhumans who as we all know, will be getting their own film soon, but not for quite a while yet. So far, the whole Inhuman thing has definitely got me interested in seeing how it plays out but still waiting for the Age of Ultron tie in episode which I know will be big as well as connections to Agent Carter, Guardians of the Galaxy and Daredevil. 7/10

The Blind Fortune Teller
So a murder happens at Haly's Circus in Gotham and Gordon and Bullock are sent to investigate with the Flying Graysons and the Lloyds being named suspects, but a physic who recieves a message from the deceased says otherwise. Meanwhile, Mooney who has been stuck with plenty of prison inmates, decides to start some kind of rebelion against those who are holding them hostage while Barbara returns to Gotham in the hopes to rekindle with Jim Gordon and Bruce Wayne attends a board meeting at Wayne Enterprises to raise concerns on a particular manner. Now the above image shows what many believe to be the show's take on the Joker and so far, I haven't really got that much of an opinion as I've only seen him once, but he does have some big shoes to fill after what Heath Ledger, Jack Nicholson and Mark Hamill gave for their portrayls of Joker. But aside from that, I thought this was a pretty average episode that mainly focuses more on the development of many of the series characters, but makes up for it by giving us the debut of who will hopefully be the Joker. Let's see how this plays out as the series carries on. 8/10
