TV Episode Review - The Scarecrow (Gotham S1, E15) + Who You Really Are (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S2, )

In this week's TV episode review, Sif of Asgard returns to Earth but suffering with amnesia in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the true story of Gerald Crane (the father of the boy who will one day become The Scarecrow) is revealed in Gotham. So let's tune in and get right to it:

The Scarecrow (Gotham S1, E15)
So as Gerald Crane gets his hands on another victim, Bullock and Gordon unravel his background and what they discover turns out to be quite tragic and dark, hence the flashbacks throughout the episode. So while they do that, Fish Mooney gets herself caught in a rowdy prison like area, Bruce Wayne goes on a treacherous hike and at the request of Falcone, Cobblepot renovates Fish's nightclub to make it his own, not knowing of Falcone and Maroni's plan to one day remove him from the equation. Now the show was set out to tell the not so well known origins of some of Batman's rouge gallery which they have done a great job of (especially with Penguin) so far and this episode manages to continue that trend while also keeping the series going forward. Penguin is moving to newer heights, Bruce Wayne continues to move forward into one day becoming Gotham's Dark Knight, Gordon continues to fight crime as he slowly rises up the ranks, while everyone else follows suite and its great. One of the best episodes of the series thus far in my opinion. 9/10

Who You Really Are (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S2, E12)
So the team are tasked with finding Sif whom after fighting a very strong man, is suffering with amnesia and is searching for some kind of relic which just so happens to be where Whitehill found the Diviner and in the same place, is the man she fought who may be able to restore her memories, but with Skye having some abilities, she may become hostile to the team. I think its fair to say that this was a filler episode as a means to have a fan favourite character of the MCU to come back and have an episode all about the character which I think is nice. Its also great that Sif is actually now in more casual attire rather than that of Asgard as I think I can speak for everyone when I say that most people may find those of Asgard to be quite intimidating, especially when they are fully armoured and all that, except for conventions of course. Anyway, not the best episode of the series so far, but we get an MCU character so that's fine by me. 8/10

Movie Review - Inside Out 2
