Review of the Week

Let's see what's been happening this week:

Nintendo News - Splatoon Direct
So following a long line of game specific Nintendo Direct presentations, Nintendo decided that it was time for Splatoon to get some attention, just weeks before its release and well I have to say, Nintendo do have high hopes for this game. So much so that there is even some amiibo figures coming out for it. Personally, I would say that this game does look promising, but Nintendo releasing amiibo figures to go with it, I would say they could maybe wait a little bit before doing that because the game itself isn't out yet, no one knows what to expect and the worst thing about it, is that it could be a total flop. Now if the amiibo figures came out a little while after the game is released, then I'd understand. But as it is, Nintendo need to plan things out better in my eyes. But hey, at least they are getting somewhere financially so that's good.

In other news, WB promise a season 2 of Constatine but on a new home, James Wan is set to direct Sony's Robotech and WB's Aquaman according to reports, George Lucas originally wanted the sequel trilogy of Star Wars to focus on characters in their teens but was imediately scrapped due to Disney and Kathy's worries over that idea being too similar to the prequels (also Jar Jar Binks may be killed off at long last), Rockstar reassure GTA fans on mods being used in GTA V (full report here), Avatar sequels are delayed by a year to allow Cameron to work on the script, Ubisoft may confirm some Assassin's Creed rumors next week, Nintendo finally get a theme park at Universal, Tom Hardy is working on a big mystery DC project, Edgar Wright wanting Cinderella star Lily James for his next film Baby Driver and The Hateful Eight (Quentin Tarantino's new film) gets its first pic revealed in the latest Entertainment Weekly.
