Review of the Week

Let's see what's been happening this week:

DC News - Superman game in the works
So this week through the means of leaks (something of which I have stressed enough that I am against such a thing), we find out that WB Games Montreal who previously made Batman: Arkham Origins, may be working on a Superman game next. What you see above is some kind of menu letting players choose a skin for the titular superhero. According to reports, WB Games Montreal had a few job offers going which would be for a new IP and its been stated that they are willing to bring us games based on legendary DC characters and their universes. But we all know that the last time Superman had a game, it didn't fare well with everyone, but due to the success of the Batman: Arkham games, there may well be hope for him yet. Now at the time of writing this post, the developer has neither denied nor confirmed about the existence of a Superman game, but its also been rumored that the only other game that they could be working on aside from Superman, could be one based on the Suicide Squad. Whatever the case, I'm definitely up to playing more DC games as Batman: Arkham Knight has left me wanting more. Screw the controversy, that game is great.

In other news, WB Games admit to knowing about Arkham Knight's PC problems for months before release, Spectre is to be Sony's last Bond film leaving the MGM and EON controlled franchise to be given to another studio but which one is the question, James Cameron is to retain the rights to the Terminator franchise in 2017 (the franchise of which helped the Canadian film maker in putting himself on the map), Avatar 2 comes out in 2017 and is rumoured to be set underwater, the Simpsons and Family Guy crossover finally hits UK shores, Zach Snyder defends the Man of Steel ending and states that all fan complaints will be addressed in Batman VS Superman, Apple's latest software update for iOS devices brings in their own take on Spotify, Minecraft: Story Mode gets its details out there, Angry Birds Space gets its first update in a long while and Falcon may appear in Ant-Man.

Now onto the week's film and video game releases in most areas:

Films:
Terminator: Genisys (Most areas with many more to follow. May do a series review, but we'll see)
Magic Mike XXL (Most areas with many more to follow)

Video Games:
Infinifactory (Win, OS X, Linux) (Worldwide)
Rise of Incarnates (Win) (Worldwide)
