Monthly Update - January 2016

So another year ends and so we look to what to expect in the future.

Now normally I would do all time favourite lists in the month of January, but I decided to change things around and instead do reviews on all the Bond films up to Die Another Day. How I'm going to do this is that each Monday there will be a series review of each of the Bond films by the actor playing Bond, but as there are only 4 Mondays and 5 official Bonds, I will save one Tuesday for a Bond post so look forward to that.

As for Thursdays, well there will be three video game reviews in the form of Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros., The Witness and Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India and the first Thursday will be Boxes of Stuff.

And that wraps up January so let's do a theory:

Jar Jar Binks is a Sith Lord?
I know I'm incredibly late to the party with this, but let's take a look at this anyway. So Jar Jar Binks has been heavily regarded as one of the worst characters to be made in the Star Wars franchise and for a lot of fans, he is single handily responsible for how The Phantom Meance played out and his only existence in the films is down to the fact that he was the one that made things in the Original films happen when he gave Palpatine emergency powers to take down the Jedi. So now we come to this theory and to me, it does make sense in some shape or form. Now this theory has some spoilers to do with the Force Awakens in it so to make it spoiler free, let's just assume that some us who thought we knew Jar Jar, are wrong. He isn't the bumbling idiot that we've all come to know him as, but instead a skilled warrior, force user and Sith master. So why do I think this makes sense? Well if you look carefully in the scenes you see him in, watch his hand movements because as we all know, if you use your hands in a certain way, you can do that mind trick. And also watch the way he moves in general. Those things can give us a hint that he is a master of the force. So where does the Sith part come in? Well he messed up the hyperdrive on the ship in Phantom Meance which doesn't sound like much, but take into account that every droid he has come across, hate him and find him very suspicious for good reason as his mind control doesn't work on them. In a way, Jar Jar is supposed to be the very mirror of Yoda in that when we first see Yoda in Empire, he acts all dumb, be we soon know about him being a powerful Jedi. So really in that regard, Yoda should have fought against Jar Jar and not Count Dooku, but this didn't happen due to the backlash Jar Jar had. Yes you heard right. George Lucas actually wanted Jar Jar to be revealed as a Sith lord and also the one that is somehow higher up to Sidious and kind of falls in line with his master making Palpatine merely a pawn, not to mention that they both come from the same planet as well. So yeah, Jar Jar is the true mastermind behind the Sith and should've been the one that Anakin defeats to bring balance to the force. But it was thanks to the fanbase that Jar Jar was nothing more than the guy who made everything in the original trilogy happen. A scary thought it may be, but after reading this, chances are that you may never see Jar Jar in quite the same light again, but perhaps the new Star Wars films will be able to bring some closure on this theory. Who knows.

Movie Review - Inside Out 2

I guess a sequel to the first makes sense here. I mean, for the most part, this franchise is all about the subject of growing up and with ...
