TV Episode Review - Laws of Nature (Agents of SHIELD S3, E1) + Damned If You Do... (Gotham S2, E1)

This time, a new threat emerges for SHIELD to handle while in Gotham there is a breakout at Arkham.

Laws of Nature
So SHIELD agents are sent out to retrieve a man with metal melting abilities, but struggle to explain about his Inhuman heritage. Meanwhile, Phil Coulson finds out about a possible replacement for the underground SHIELD and Fitz who is unable to let go of what happened to Simmons, takes matters into his own hands to bring her back, unaware of where she actually is. This I have to say is a good start to the series as the episode manages to tie in the show with the upcoming Civil War film as well as making references to previous films in the MCU and it also further sets the stage for Inhumans which is still a while away from release, but it still gets us ready for it. Aside from those things, its action packed throughout and you just have to feel sorry for some of these people as some of them have to deal with change among other things too and its done pretty darn well I have to say. 9/10

Damned If You Do...
Gordon and Bullock both leave the police with Gordon being fired from letting Falcone go and Bullock resigning to live a more civilian life. Gordon desperate to clean up the mess that is still in the city, makes a deal with the new boss of organised crime, Cobblepot in the hopes to get his job back. Meanwhile, several inmates at Arkham are broken out and join forces to wreck havoc in Gotham while at Wayne manor, Bruce and Alfred discover a secret room in the manor with a note telling them to choose over truth or happiness (by one Thomas Wayne). This is also a good start to the series as it starts with where people are now and things seem to be on the up for many characters and not so much for some. Not that that's a bad thing. Its a good thing and I look forward to seeing where we go from here. 9/10
