Boxes of Stuff - January 2016

This time, Nerd Block gives us some never ending stories, Flash invades Geek Fuel (and other random things) and there is an Invasion in Loot Crate:

Nerd Block - Never-ending Stories
So in this box, are some items from franchises that are considered to be neverending even after you've read the books, seen the films or the like. So coming from the wizarding world of Harry Potter, we have a Deathly Hallows t-shirt which has the elder wand, cloak of invisibility and it may not be a resurrection stone, but you get the idea from the skull. Also from Harry Potter, we got a Hogwarts crest keychain and a bookmark with a film cell (very nice indeed). Coming from that one place where there's nudity everywhere and everyone says "Winter is Coming", we get a action figure of one of the characters which I believe is random in every box (I got Khal Drogo). We also get a notepad from Neverending Story and the last item is an art card which resembles Bag End from Middle Earth (a very nice one too). A nice box indeed.

Geek Fuel - Flash and other items
So Geek Fuel this month, gives us a Flash mug and the chance to enter a Flash competition via the internet (I didn't win unfortunately). Then we have a tin of sweets which is either Mario or Link (I got the latter) which taste quite good. Then we got a pin badge of the Umbrella corps from Resident Evil which is very good. The Steam game looks to be an interesting one to try out. And finally, the t-shirt shows us all know ways of time travel in pop culture with things like the Tardis and the Delorean. Lost of nice stuff here.

Loot Crate - Invasion
And last, but by no means least, we have Loot Crate and it looks like an invasion is taking place. The box can transform into an arcade cabinet which brings back memories of the arcade. In preparation of the return of the X-Files, we got a t-shirt and a torch. Coming from Alien, we have a child friendly face hugger plush (which sounds so wrong on so many levels). Coming from Space Invaders, we get a very cool vynl figure which has a colour combination on it which is just a little nostaglia for you to enjoy. From the Fifth Element, we got an ID badge which looks very cool and perfect for anyone going to cosplay as Leeloo Dallas. We also get 2 art cards of classic film posters of the original versions of some invasion films of which we've had a remake recently. And something new that Loot Crate are doing is giving us pin badges in the place of regular badges and each one contains something that can be accessed online (this month, its a comic book). Great stuff.

So its a pretty strong start all around. There was variety in all boxes with some franchises getting more love than others which is fine. Its difficult for me to say which one was the best, but based on the fact that I know a great deal about all the franchises in this particular box, this month's winner is Nerd Block.

Movie Review - Inside Out 2

I guess a sequel to the first makes sense here. I mean, for the most part, this franchise is all about the subject of growing up and with ...
