So as far as I know, there have been at least four different versions of the Teen Titans on the small screen. The Cartoon Network shows that started in 2003 and 2013, a version of the team appears in the DC Animated Movie Universe (with at least two-three films focused on the team and their adventures) and this live action one which I guess loses the Teen part due to how some of the team are not exactly teenagers as such. Here in the UK, we have it on Netflix and I have wondered if it was still going to be on Netflix in light of how the show in the US shifted from DC Universe to HBO Max. Glad Netflix still has worldwide distribution rights outside the US so let's see how this third season pans out:
The team head for Gotham City, which they are tasked with protecting when a resurrected Jason Todd (reprised by Curran Walters) returns as the Red Hood with the intent of targetting the team. This leads to the team working with wheelchair bound police commissioner Barbara Gordon (played by Savannah Welch) of which Nightwing (reprised by Brenton Thwaites) had a thing for previously, as well as Scarecrow (played by Vincent Kartheiser) to stop him at all costs. Tensions also rise when a certain member takes up residence with the team and other stuff is happening too.
You know, for a third season, this is perhaps the best we are going to get from the show. A lot of great moments take place, great performances from everyone, character development all around and just a great season overall. Looking forward to seeing what happens next in the fourth season. 9/10
