Random TV Season Review - Star Trek: Picard (Season 2)

Yep, we are continuing with Paramount+ stuff as we explore strange new worlds, new life and civilizations and boldly go where no one has gone before.... again. Interestingly, here in the UK, it's actually Prime Video that has Picard even though Paramount+ has launched. But I guess they still have streaming rights for the time being. Anyway, get your hot Earl Grey teas and let's engage in some more adventures with Jean-Luc Picard (reprised by Sir Patrick Stewart):

Following a mission involving the Borg, Picard and his companions find themselves trapped in an alternate reality set up by Q (reprised by John de Lancie) who has returned to test Picard again in an ultimate trial. They are then tasked with travelling to 2024 Los Angeles in a race against time to save the future of the galaxy.

This second season continues to try to relive the glory days of the Next Generation era and while I usually loath things that try that (as it can come across as incredibly cheesy), it does it in a way that is fresh but also as a callback to what we saw many years before. Nice to see Whoopi Goldberg and John de Lancie back again, and also good to see old stars directing episodes too. Yes, a very good second season and looking forward to the final one when that comes around. 9/10
