Random Movie Series Review - Beavis and Butt-Head

Been avoiding this show for a while now. Guess me thinking of two boys with dirty minds wasn't at all appealing. At least for a while and then I watched the films and got to be honest, I actually find them interesting now. Compared to many other adult sitcoms, this one just comes across to me as an idea that will probably not last long. Boy was I wrong as it had 8 seasons and two films so clearly something is working for these two. So without having much knowledge of the show, let's take a look at the two films and see what to make of them:

Do America
The two delinquents (both reprised by Mike Judge) discover their TV has gone missing one day and set out to find it. They soon come across a motel which has a TV in every room and meet Muddy Grimes (voiced by Bruce Willis) who mistakes the pair for hitmen and offers up a ton of money if they can "do" his wife. Immediately jumping to the conclusion that he wants them to have sex with his wife, Beavis and Butt-Head set out to do just that and go across America to "score" and buy a new television. Remaining oblivious to what Muddy truly wants them to do and becoming fugitives in the process. You know for a show about two stupid boys who are dirty minded and do stupid things (while poking fun at society in the process), this film is actually quite funny. Some films about characters that do funny things that make them unintentionally bad in the public eye, can be quite cringy especially if they are trying too hard to get a laugh. But the way the film does it is very subtle and pretty hilarious and I can see now why this show has a fanbase. Maybe I will give the show a watch one day, especially with a revival on the way. 8/10

Do the Universe
This would probably be the first time something to do with Beavis and Butt-Head has happened since the show initially ended in 1997. I mean, there was that season 8 that happened in 2011, but nothing much has happened since. Until now where the pair recount events that occurred in 1998 in which following the accidental burn down of a science fair, the pair are sentenced to space camp in which they unintentionally become astronauts when one of their activities there attracts the attention of NASA Captain Serena Ryan (voiced by Andrea Savage) who trains them unaware that the pair think they are going to have sex with her. When they are all up in space and everything goes horribly wrong, Serena kicks the boys out, and they get sucked into a wormhole that brings them to 2022 Earth, where Serena is running for governor of Texas. Still thinking she wants to "do" them, the pair set out to find her while navigating an Earth that now has Siri, iPhones and people wondering about the multiverse. Remaining unaware that the government, Serena and even "smart" versions of themselves, are all after them. Stupidly hilarious and lots of fun, this is a great Paramount+ Original film that further proves that some things, after a long time off-air, can still be funny as ever. Now I really want to watch the show. 9/10

Two pretty good films that would probably have got a higher score if I saw the show. But nevertheless, still good fun and very funny. 8/10

Movie Review - Inside Out 2

I guess a sequel to the first makes sense here. I mean, for the most part, this franchise is all about the subject of growing up and with ...
