Random Video Game Review - Bad North

One of the great things about these games set in the past is that we can experience these historical moments ourselves in the most exciting and engaging ways. Basically, games exist to give us experiences to help us escape from the doom and gloom we may all experience from the real world. So this game is another one of those games to do with Vikings. Having already played the Assassin's Creed Vikings game, this probably is incomparable, considering how in depth Ubisoft like to be with their so-called "historical playgrounds". This game was made by Raw Fury, who I have played a few games of and so far, I've not had much reason to not like what they do. So let's take a look:

This game has a particular focus on real time tactics. The main goals of the game are to defend the kingdom from attacking Vikings who killed the last king and to guide the kingdom's population for evacuation. Each island has a different layout, the result of which also provides gamers with new challenges. Multiple tiles are used with houses in some, which usually helps with the strategy coming from the player as you protect the houses. If a house is completely destroyed, no coins will be gained from said house. Gold being a key thing for upgrades, though you can also gather items too. Finally, depending on what kind of experience you want, there are multiple options for difficulty.

Not a bad game I must say with how simple and easy to play it is. But even with the difficulty options, I wonder if those of us will be able to get a challenge out of it. Still though it's fine for what it is and while not the most innovative of games, it's worth playing if you have the cash to buy it. 7/10
