Random TV Season Review - The Mandalorian (Season 3)

Here we go again. It's the show that helped set the stage for the many Star Wars live-action TV shows that followed it. All exclusive to Disney+ and effectively helped save the franchise from what went down with the films. Not that any of them are completely bad or anything, but the sequel trilogy and the two anthology films, let's be honest, are far from perfect. Kudos to Disney for at least trying to do their own thing, but releasing it all aggressively on a yearly basis, doesn't always bode well to fans who are quite happy to wait. But it became what it became, the shows are much better in comparison to their films, and it was this one that helped with that in nearly every way. So let's see what's happening in this third season:

Continuing the stories of Din Djarin (reprised by Pedro Pascal) and Grogu from The Book of Boba Fett, the pair assist in attempts to reclaim Mandalore in the wake of various events that leads into reclaiming the Darksaber, reviving IG-11 and taking on some old enemies (but not quite as they seem). Oh, and a few celebrity faces appear including Christopher Lloyd, Jack Black and Lizzo.

It's a good season. Definitely better than Boba Fett's series, but does face issues such as pacing and the writing of some of the events. But overall, a pretty good season. Just not the best one for Mando, but we do have a fourth on the way, so there is more to look forward to. This is the way, of course. 8/10
