Doctor Who Review: A Good Man Goes To War (S6, E7)

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!
To start with, this is the mid series finale of the sixth series in the current generation of Doctor Who and with all finales, it ties up all loose ends in the series so far. Following from the previous episodes, Amy and her baby Melody, have been inprisoned on what seems to be an astroid called Demons Run by an eye patch woman and a military like army in a partnership with people known as the headless monks, all of which want The Doctor to understand about Melody and to be fallen in the hands of battle. Rory (using the Doctor's sonic screwdriver) gets on board a cybermen ship and asks them where Amy is. Shortly after, he heads to the prison where River Song (her past self as always) is strolling along the corridor and finds out some cruical information on her true identity. Meanwhile, The Doctor goes across time and space to build up and army of old nemisises which include A Silurian and her assistant, A nurse Sontaran and Dorium Maldovar (who is the blue headed guy last seen in The Pandorica Opens) all of which owe a debit to The Doctor. So a battle between Amy's kidnappers and The Doctor's Army takes place which ultimately see's The Doctor win (again). But as celebrations go, The Doctor discover's something that he never learned about Melody which was according to Amy's kidnappers is his baby making it part human, part timelord. But thats not all as The Doctor soon discover's a secrect that River Song has been keeping from him for a very long time. She is Melody. Her baby self however is flesh meaning that the real baby form of Melody is still with the kidnappers and only The Doctor's Army (or rather whats left of them) can save her if the whole River Song thing will make any sense.

So it sort of makes sense in some way with River being The Doctor's (other) Daughter which is proberbly why she can travel in time and space. So a major loose end was done while we still want to know How it came to the Doctor dying, What the Silence truly is and who the little girl was at the begining of the series. I felt the episode was rushed a bit and I also felt that the Cybermen should've had a more major role this time and not a minor one. 7/10

And that concludes my Doctor Who reviews until the series returns in September in the episode Let's Kill Hitler. I will be doing reviews on the next Torchwood series when it comes and also the last episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures (the ones Elizabeth did before she died) when they are aired.

Movie Review - Inside Out 2

I guess a sequel to the first makes sense here. I mean, for the most part, this franchise is all about the subject of growing up and with ...
