Movie Review: Kung Fu Panda 2 (Cinema 2D)

Now I have seen the previous one which in my opinion was a good film. This one on the other hand is better in terms of it being shown in colourful 3D and a better story than the last plus it being more funny than the last one.

SPOILERS!!!!
So first of after a Chinese looking Dreamworks Animation logo variation, we then take a blast of the past with the world of kung fu. We then go to the present where the warriors are trying to see how many dumplings can Po put in his mouth until being called by his master to do more training which is interrupted by bandits entering the area stealing the metal from the village. the warriors go to fight the bandits when Po sees a symbol which gives him a flashback of his past when he was a baby and what became of his parents which then has him seek answers before being sent by his master along with the other warriors to what seems to be the capital of China where they will confront the animal responsible of the disturbance and later on we find out that he killed Po's parents and that animal is a peacock (no joke). The warriors enter the city taking out everything that gets in their way to free 2 kung fu warriors and defeat the peacock. The warriors decide to stay in their cells until they can be convinced to just get out there and fight. upon confronting the peacock, the warriors escape the falling palace as it was hit by cannons but before they can escape they then head to a factory where more of the weapons are being made and in a desperate attempt to stop the peacock, they fail. With Po being hit by a cannon ball and the other warriors held against their will, Po (who is rescued and cured by a fortune teller) learns inner peace and then he rescues the other warriors with the 2 warriors and his master not far behind and together they make a desperate attempt to stop the peacock from destroying all of China but they fail. Po then takes one last stand and uses his inner peace to deflect the cannon balls back at the peacock and his army which in turn kills him and his army. The warriors then return to their village to celebrate and we then see that Po's father has survived which could be a trigger for a third film.

After seeing this, I thought it was better than the first one as there was more story development within Po and also, the film has a whole load more jokes than the last one and anyone should know by now that when you have a film with Jack Black in it in some form, It's gonna be awesome and funny. 9/10
