AC25: Merry Christmas and Doctor Who Review: The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe

First off, Merry Christmas to all of you bloggers and I hope you've enjoyed your day. Now I shall start my last Doctor Who Review of the year so here we go:

SPOILERS!!!

So after a scene that looks like a complete ripoff from the first Star Wars film, We then see The Doctor escaping a spaceship that is at the brink of destruction before landing on Earth in a spacesuit but back to front. He's then greeted by a woman named Madge who helps him find the Tardis. After that, Madge returns home to her family. 3 years later and Madges's husband dies during WWII while Madge and her children Cyril and Lily move to a bigger house which oddly enough is being cared for by The Doctor who nicknames himself The Caretaker. After giving the family a bit of a bizare tour round the house, it then becomes night time and Cyril gets out of bed to unwrap a present which turns out to be a portal to a world thats is several years into the future. He spots a bauble of some sort and cracks it open. As footsteps emerge, Cyril follows the footsteps to a tower and spots a wooden statue of some sort. As he passes it to go up the stairs, the statue then blinks telling us (the audience) that it is alive. As he enters the top of the tower, he meets a similar statue who then attempts to put a crown on him. Meanwhile, The Doctor is busy with his toys and Lily asks him a few questions. They later realise that Cyril is missing and then go look for him in the world he has entered through the box. They apprach the tower and manage to enter it where The Doctor asks the wooden statues what they want. Madge slowly follows, but is then taken by some people who I assume are space police. They prove no use to Madge and leave her on thier ship which is due for self destruct in 5 minutes. Madge manages to locate the others using the machine and enters the tower. She then wears the crown which then puts her as the mothership for the forest of aliens and she then moves the liitle dome at the top of the tower and through the space and time continuam and somehow, her husband follows it in his plane. All is well that ends well. So The Doctor pays farewell to Madge and the family and then pays a visit to Amy and Rory for his Xmas dinner.

To my surprise, as always every year at this time, Doctor Who goes epic and this one is no exception despite being rushed at times. Well done Steven Moffat and Matt Smith. 9/10

Movie Review - Inside Out 2

I guess a sequel to the first makes sense here. I mean, for the most part, this franchise is all about the subject of growing up and with ...
