Story:
The game takes place sometime before the first game of the franchise where Rayman and his pals, Globox and two Teensies are napping (with rythum) before some old lady from The Land of the Lvid Dead (which by the way is not identical to the one seen in Rayman 3) gets very annoyed and sends out a series of hidious creatures and eniemes called Darktoons all over Rayman's world which also cause the people of the world to be captured. Now with Mr. Dark now released, Rayman and his pals must once again (or in this case, for the very first time) stop him from causing total darkness all over the world. A strong story with comedy and action throughout. 9/10
Gameplay:
Much like with other platformers, the game has a map which you can use to travel to each world, each containing a small but not limited amount of levels. Each level will have you find 3 cages with trapped people of Rayman's world, Lums and Skull Coins. The abilites you get in the game are given by the Nymphs and for the rest of the levels in the world that you get will require you to use those skills to get through them. Boss battles don't fall into place until much later in the game and they are mostly easy with showing you the part you need to hit in order to weaken it and move onwards. You can play as Rayman, Globox and a Teensy with many variations of the three to unlock (all characters have the same abilities). All this plus with 4 player co-op makes this game worth buying. 9/10
Graphics
The visuals of the game are very beautifully coloured and well designed and quite often reminds me of those cartoons I used to watch. Animation is funny (in a good way) and some 3D effects are in there too. All in all, a good set up. 9/10
Overall, this is the game we've been waiting for. It brings back memories and it is fun to enjoy with others. Nice job Ubi Soft!! 9/10
