Video Game Review: Little Deviants (PSV)

Little Deviants was among the many Vita games that we're released at the Launch of the Vita and are also the first new IP from Sony in a long while. Is it any good? Let's find out:

Story:
The story is similar to that of Pikmin but is played and explained in a different way. Creatures known as deviants are being chased by robots and both sides end up on Earth to presumably continue their battle. With the deviants rocket now destroyed, they must now build a new one by doing whatever they can to avoid the robots. A very straight forward story, but its also one of those "been there, done that" stories so nothing new there really. 7/10

Gameplay:
The game has a series of different (and sometimes recycled) minigames that you need to complete in order to progress in the story. Each game has a medal system which goes as Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each of the medals will contain a reward of some kind, mostly concept art, characters and more minigames. While it does make it fun, the minigames can be over used a lot, but truly use the Vita's features to its maximum which is great. 9/10

Graphics:
The graphics make the game very colourful and the set up and characters are well designed, making this a good experience on the Vita that could get better over time in later games, future DLCs and updates. Good work Sony!! 9/10

Overall, this game can be enjoyed by many and puts the Vita to good use. The minigames can be repetitive at times, but overall, an enjoyable experience. 9/10
