Movie Series Review: Titans

Now I see this series of films as both epic but at the same time OK. OK basically in my opinion, means that the film is good but could be better to what it is. This is one of those film series's that explains Greek mythology in a way that makes it feel epic as you see it. Find out why in my review:

(By the way, I know Wrath of the Titans is the newest addition to the series and this will be spoiler free so you can relax)

Clash:
Clash of the Titans is the first addition to the series. It sees the gods Zeus, Hades and Poseidon being banished by their parents (the Titans) to the underworld with the help of the Kraken. They then spread themselves out to allow each of the gods to own part of the universe they are in (Zeus takes the skies, Poseidon with the seas and Hades (tricked by Zeus) is left with the Underworld). In some village somewhere a half god is born by the name of Perseus who is believed to be the one that can kill the Kraken and bring order to the world (if that makes sense). Its in a way, one of those films that contains dialogue right until the very end which is always not that great. Still, its an OK film regardless. 7/10

Wrath:
In this one (set 10 years after the last one), The gods are facing near death and with Perseus's god born brother, Ares betraying Zeus and Hades, its up to Perseus and his forces to take him down and stop the Titans from overthrowing mankind and destroying the universe. I feel that while this one is significantly better than the last, more work could've been done on it before its release. Other than that is a good film but like with its predecessor, it could've been better. 8/10

So while there is a third instalment in the works, I can say that these films are good but could be better. Everything except the utterly long and annoying dialogue, is good in its own way. 9/10
