Movie Review: Prometheus

Unlike my previous reviews, this will be spoiler free as the film was incredibly long and its been out for a while so there's not much I can say about this, thats already been said. Prometheus serves as a prequel to the first film in the Alien series and since its announcement, has been one of the most highly anticipated films of the year. It follows the epic 3D look that was first introduced in James Cameron's Avatar and while I find that the CGI looks great and has everything a Alien(ish) film should have, there are a lot of plot holes, especially the parts that don't quite make sense. Despite that, its a very enjoyable if not epic film that just shows how a franchise can go the extra mile to bring something great. As I said, the film takes place before the events of the first Alien film where a group of scientists have discovered various star amps that look the same and have some resemblance with each other (mainly the stars shown in them), on a ship called Prometheus, the same scientists now work with the other crew members to find out more about what the star maps are saying and what they will find on a strange alien planet. Overall, the film for anyone who has heard little about the Alien series, may find it hard to understand anything in the film, but will enjoy it regardless and for people who are long time fans of the series will find it less confusing and will still enjoy it. 9/10
