Doctor Who Review - The Crimson Horror (S7, E11)

Now as much as I would like to see 3 of the Doctor's allies in action, do I really want to watch an episode that's dedicated to them? Well, in my honest opinion, yes I do. This is one episode that while isn't as much of a big one like the last one, it's still quite good. With that in mind, let's review it:

So, seen from the perspective of 3 of the Doctor's allies from previous episodes, mainly Strax, Vastra and Jenny, the 3 of them investigate a place called SweetVille where people go in, but no one comes out (not really that original guys, come on you can do better than that). Jenny heads in the infiltrate in the hopes that the 3 of them can find The Doctor. As it turns out, the people that go there, are dipped into wax with their skin going red. But as a more sinister plot emerges, can the 3 allies find the Doctor and stop this madness, before it's too late? Also where is the Doctor? And why isn't Clara around? Watch the episode to find out.

Overall, it's not a very strong episode as such and it's a big step down from last weeks episode, but given the seriousness that the series has been given, its great to finally get a break from that and have some comedy instead. There are a number of predictable things in this episode and it can feel a bit rushed at times, but its a good one, in my opinion and the retro feel of it (especially towards the middle of it) is great as well. 8/10
