Doctor Who Review - The Second Doctor (Patrick Troughton)

Here we have our second incarnation of the Doctor who was played by Patrick Troughton and like with William Hartnell, he played the doctor for 3 years (1966-1969)  prior to what is now known as the regeneration of the character which changes the character's physical appearance and personality, but is still the same character. He is also the only doctor that is played by him that appears in more than one special, after his regular appearances in the show.

Unlike Hartnell, Troughton take on the character is more bonkers and more childlike than his predecessor. In all honesty, he is very similar to the 11th doctor in that he's bonkers, acts like a blithering fool, but always manages to get his way around things. He always wants to help those who need his help and is one of the more likable doctors because of his personality. He wears an outfit similar to the last doctor as well.

As I said, Troughton's version of him is likable and therefore, makes him another one of the greatest doctors, but one that many of us wouldn't really want to be around as he can be a bit embarrassing at times. Still, we like him a lot and he does do the blithering fool thing, better than Matt Smith, in my opinion. 9/10
