Just to be clear that this may be a full downloadable and retail game for those of you who quite recently got the Wii U, but for everyone else (mainly those who bought the console at launch or around then) this is DLC for the game New Super Mario Bros U. I'm under the impression that this was Nintendo's first attempt at doing a mission based DLC and having played, they've done a pretty good job of it. Let's look at it more:
So the story is more or less the same as the main game, but with a twist. All the levels are different and hard, you only have a minute to complete them in as opposed to the usual 3 minute or more time limit and Mario isn't present and his role is replaced by that thief who nicks all of Toad's goods at his mushroom houses who unlike the others, is immune to enemy attacks, but cannot use any power-ups (however the ones he does pick up, get converted into 1-Up mushrooms at the end of each level). Now that may sound very challenging to do, but unlike the regular levels, any boss levels you do, when you actually reach the area where you do battle with the boss, you get an extra minute put onto the time limit which I think is a good thing because some bosses take longer than others to finish off.
Having played at least some of the game, this is one that will challenge you, but for the most part, its very straight forward. Not much else to say, but it shows that Nintendo have gone a long way after the last generation and I hope they continue to give us more DLC for their games because it makes the games better. 8/10
