Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D Review - 0-8-4 (S1, E2)

So after what seemed to by just an OK pilot episode, we get the second episode and boy was it pretty action packed. Let's take a look:

The team travel to Peru to take a look at what's known as a "0-8-4" which is best described as an object of unknown origin. Turns out that the object is a piece of forgotten HYDRA technology powered by Tesseract energy and after escaping gunfire, the team along with a group of soldiers led by a former colleague of Coulson's called Camilla Reyes (played by Leonor Varela), bring the weapon on board their plane, presumably to research it more. But then things get complicated when Reyes betrays the team and tries to take the weapon for herself. Its up to Coulson's team to stop them.

This was a pretty good episode that continues to have strong connections with the Marvel Cinematic universe. Also, Coulson's survival in the Avengers film is further explained and I thought it was great although this felt like more of a filler episode than anything else, but that's OK. 7/10
