Well it's finally here. After a 8 month wait, the most anticipated series of Doctor Who finally begins and in feature length style too. It's Peter Capaldi's first adventure so let's have a look:
So in Victorian London, the trio of The Doctor's allies known as The Paternoster Gang, consisting of Vastra (reprised by Neve McIntosh), Jenny (reprised by Catrin Stewart) and Strax (reprised by Dan Starkey) go to investigate a matter of a T-Rex who has materialised from the Houses of Parliment and spits out the Tardis carrying a confused and newly regenerated Doctor (played by Capaldi with Matt Smith making a small appearance later on) and Clara (reprised by Jenna Coleman). The gang and Clara take him to the gang's HQ for him to rest. But when the Doctor discovers that the dinosaur has been fired up by an unknown force who seems to bear resemblance to a former 10th Doctor enemy, he must once again, get into action with the others following.
As the first episode in the series which is also the first in the revival to have a doctor make his debut in a feature length episode, I thought it was good. It keeps people interested, has a lot going on and manages to establish the new Doctor very well and it looks like this series will be a good one. The gang are great as always and it manages to retain continunity all the way. 9/10
