Random Movie Review - The Internship

So I am holding back as much as possible from seeing Transformers 4 and I think I'm doing a pretty good job so far. The week that has just passed, I didn't really have any time to see any new films in the cinema, but that will change after this week. So that aside, I give you what should be called Google: The Movie because that's basically what it is, from the group of comedians that gave you films like Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, the film version of Starsky and Hutch and The Watch which I can say that despite some of them being bad, at least these comedians can act as opposed to the Happy Madison crowd who have talents but make millions by insultingly using none of them. That said, let's take a look at this film:

So these two salesmen by the names of Billy McMahon and Nick Campbell (played by Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson respectively) who sell watches for a living, go out of business when the find that watches are outdated as people check the time on their phones. In response to this, Billy signs on for an internship with Google alongside his partner Nick in the hopes that they can get a job out of it and with them being the only ones that have little to no experience with computers and a lack of college qualifications, they have to work in a team of youngsters in order to get a job at Google. But with stiff competition, this could very well be a tough task to do.

The film I thought was OK and managed to represent Google and its services well, but where it really doesn't work is that the jokes aren't really that funny, its got those story based things that we've seen a dozen times before and for the most part, its a bore fest. But if anybody is wanting to work for Google but doesn't have the stuff for it, this is the closest you'll get to see the inside of the building and its actually very cool inside I have to admit. And to the film makers credit, despite it not being a great film, at least it manages to do things that the Happy Madison crowd fail to do which is to have great acting all around that isn't too much cringe-worthy nor awkward and its great. 7/10

Movie Review - Inside Out 2
