Doctor Who Review - Into The Dalek (S8, E2)

Don't know about you guys, but I sensed a bit of deja vu in this episode. I mean yeah, it gives fans what we've wanted to look inside of for a very long time, but that also happened in the last series in Journey to the Centre of the Tardis. Fortunately though, the whole story of this episode allows me to let that little nitpick slide so let's see what is inside a Dalek:

So a Dalek fleet set out to destroy a group of rebel soldiers before one of them finds herself on the Tardis. Demanding the Doctor to take her back to base, the Doctor does so, only to find that this base has a patient which as the title pretty much says, is a Dalek who is so broken that he has become good. With this being a no easy task, but one that the Doctor can't resist (and let's face it, who can), he along with a group of soldiers and Clara (who he picks up from her workplace) shrink down to size and journey into this Dalek.

So let's get the deja vu moments out of the way first. While it does give us fans what we've wanted to see the inside of for years, the last series did something similar with the Tardis and to be fair, I think I personally was more for looking into the Tardis more than a Dalek and I'm not sure if Moffat is just recycling ideas and using those ideas with new ones, but that's just me (and I'd rather not have this show go on the Nintendo route after 50 years of it being on this good Earth). It also has a few cliches like words that have been said before as well as some Star Wars like moments as well, but other than those little faults and nitpicks that I have with this episode, I thought it was a great one and one that further proves that this so called "Promise Land" from the last episode is the series storyline and I'm interested to see how that plays out. 8/10

Movie Review - Inside Out 2

I guess a sequel to the first makes sense here. I mean, for the most part, this franchise is all about the subject of growing up and with ...
