Let's see what's been happening in this very eventful week (well for me at least):
Simpsons News - Season 26 info
With the première of the Simpsons' 26th season not far away, executive producer Al Jean has revealed some new(ish) information about it. Although the first episode will see a main character getting killed off and is called "Clown in the Dumps", it might be a hint to who is killed off, although there is also a little subplot in the episode as well regarding Homer and his safety so it could very well be either Krusty or Homer or someone you'd never thought would be the one to kill off. Either way, the creators are being very quiet about it, but one thing is for sure which is unlike Family Guy who killed off Brian the dog only to have him return later on, this character in the Simpsons will stay dead much like how their old characters went in that direction (Maude Flanders to name a few). Also the Treehouse of Horror special will have segments based on the works of Stanley Kubrick and British comic book author Neil Gaiman as well as the original designs of the Simpsons from their Tracy Ullman days coming face to face with their current selves. All that plus a Futurama crossover and a visit to Kang and Kodos's planet among many other stories and adventures. But will it be enough to get people interested in the show again? Who knows, but I will say the line up certainly looks promising. Now its all down to the delivery of them (but they may carry on till the end of time).
In other news, Tim Burton may finally be back in his prime again with a trailer for his upcoming film Big Eyes now out, Watch Dogs is getting a sequel (which I wasn't that surprised about) in 2016, some images of the next SPA film Popeye have emerged and its looking pretty good, Deadpool film is a go with Ryan Reynolds reprising the role from X-Men Origins: Wolverine and will serve as the feature length debut of film maker Tim Miller following leaks all over the web, Nick Frost (of Three Flavour Cornetto Trilogy fame) will be getting a role in this year's Doctor Who Christmas Special, Kingdom Hearts 3 might not be out till 2016 according to rumours (as well as a new job ad on the Square Enix website that may hint to some things) and the Star Wars 7 and Batman VS Superman mash up teases that J.J. Abrams and Zach Snyder are doing is still going on (and its hilarious).
Now for the week's film and video game releases in most areas:
Films:
The Maze Runner (Released in most areas with many, many more to follow)
This is Where I Leave You (Same as above)
A Walk Among the Tombstones (Same as above)
