AC2 - Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Review - A Fractured House (S2, E6)

So we now have an episode whereby we see more of the fact that everyone doesn't trust S.H.I.E.L.D. and everyone in the government (or the United Nations in this case) want them hunted down and destroyed despite Coulson's efforts to prevent this from happening. To be fair, I do find that this whole thing is being talked about way too much in this season and it being the midway point of the first half of the season, it doesn't really need to be discussed about. We all know S.H.I.E.L.D. screwed up for not dealing with the Hydra threat sooner, but that doesn't make them enemies. But enough of my ranting, let's talk about this episode:

So the episode introduces us to Ward's brother Senator Christian Ward (played by Tim DeKay) whom Talbot reports too. Despite his efforts, Ward chooses to have a multinational task force taking down S.H.I.E.L.D. and try to keep it secret that he has a brother who is in the custody of Coulson's team. Simmons discovers that the weapons come from Japan and are the works of a demolitions expert who lives there. 3 agents are sent there to deal with him while Coulson himself tries to make a deal with the Senator to publicly support S.H.I.E.L.D. to hurt Hyrda in exchange for the Senator to have Grant in his custody, but will he be willing to do so I wonder?

So much like with Penguin's Umbrella in Gotham, this felt like a defining moment for the series in that it see's S.H.I.E.L.D. finally getting their way with the United Nations and see's Grant actually do something instead of being restricted to just being in a cell. Its a good episode that's full of action packed moments and moments that will no doubt, change how things will go from here. 9/10
