AC3 - Gotham Review - The Mask (S1, E8)

So when the episode has a name like The Mask, a lot of us hardcore Batman fans would expect to see the appearance of Roman Sionis aka Black Mask in this very episode and guess what. We do. Now many of you who have played Arkham Origins might think that Black Mask is associated with the Joker and in truth, he isn't. He is another character entirely, most notably known as a villain of Batman and much like with Falcone, he tends to be a mobster of sorts. But enough about that, let's talk about the episode:

So after a long period of not going in for obvious reasons, Bruce returns to school whereby he gets beaten up by some bullies and is questioned about his parents death, leading him to ask Alfred to help him defend himself. Meanwhile, Gordon and Bullock investigate Sionis (where in this show, he is known as Richard rather than Roman, played by Todd Stashwick) who is running some kind of deadly and illegal fight club while Liza finds out about Mooney's plan to kill Falcone.

Its is a pretty packed episode with the main focus being about The Mask, but there is a bit of time dedicated to developing the character of Bruce Wayne as well as keeping the series story flowing as well. Am loving this show with every episode that comes about and I hope it keeps it this strong for the rest of the series. 9/10
