Review of the Week

Let's see what's been happening this week:

Film News - More details on Pacific Rim 2
So we all know that there is a sequel in the works to Pacific Rim which back when it came out in 2013, managed to pretty much be the closest to an original film during that summer, but at the very least was not a sequel, prequel, reboot or the next entry in a trilogy of films (something of which we get way too much of these days). So some more details have been revealed by the director Guillermo del Toro who talks about the characters whom according to him, may not be the same as the ones in the last film. He also explains that those 2 scientists from the last film will definetly be returning to this one. He also confirms that the sequel will take place a few years after the first and will explore the idea of a world free from the Kaju and what happens to the Jeager technology as a result of this free world. We should expect to see this sequel in 2017. I personally am looking forward to it because the first film is pretty much exactly what a big summer blockbuster should be and its great popcorn entertainment.

In other news, Jaden Smith (son of Will Smith) is to be Static Shock in the DC Cinematic Universe, Ryan Gosling may play the main protagonist in the next GTA game, the next name for Android's infamous software update has been dubbed Macadamia Nut Cookie, Marvel and Star Wars may make it into Kingdom Hearts 3 after all according to reports and the universally asked for game Half-Life 3 may just be made into a combined one game with Portal 3 according to Valve. Some of this news may be confirmed at E3 in a few weeks time.

Now onto the week's film and video game releases in most areas:
