Video Game Theory - The FNAF Timeline

I know that I'm not the first person to talk about this and I certainly won't be the last. But as FNAF does seem to have a lot of lore (and I mean a lot), I decided to do my own take on all the mysteries that this game series has. I will only be tackling the mysteries seen in all the games up to 4 while also speculating on this upcoming DLC for game 4 that Scott Cawthon claims to be in the works and should be out very soon (though this being a guy who can be unpredictable, it could be out now for all we know). So let's begin:

So I would say the most accurate of timelines for this series, is that from MatPat of Game Theroy in which it goes as 4, 2, 1 and 3. 4 taking place in a child's home not far from a Freddy Fazbear Pizza in 1983, 2 taking place at a different Freddy Fazbear Pizza to 4 in 1987, 1 taking place at a down sized Freddy Fazbear Pizza and 4 taking place at the short lived horror attraction Fazbear's Fright.

So that's the timeline, but now let's delve into some of the other mysteries that are out there. The animatronics are presumed by many to be controlled by the spirits of the victims at the hands of Purple Guy and whoever was the killer in the so called Bite of 87. Its led to believe that the child you play as in 4 is the victim of the Bite of 87 as seen in the 5th Night's minigame and based on his appearance, could be the one that controls the Puppet as there are tears that come out of both characters. But others believe that this child could alternatively be the one that controls Golden Freddy or as we come to know him now as Fredbear. Having looked into this, I can say that this child is more likely to be Golden Freddy/Fredbear than the Puppet because even though there are some parts of 3 and 4 that lead to the child being the Puppet, there is actually more evidence supporting the fact that he is Fredbear, the first victim in the Missing Child Incident.

Now as for the other animatronics or more specially the 4 main ones, we can all assume that the spirits that control them, are the other 4 children that were part of the incident and that Golden Freddy is as I previously mentioned, the child from 4, Springtrap in 3 is the Purple Guy (or what's left of him anyway), the Puppet could very well be Purple Guy's first victim (though whether this is part of the missing child incident or not, is unclear) but the identities of Balloon Boy, Mangle and the toy counterparts of Freddy, Bonnie and Chica, is unclear. In a way, the Puppet could also be seen as some kind of alternate grim reaper who brings things back to life rather than the other way round as many believe he was the one that gave the spirits the ability to use the suits. The Shadow versions of Freddy and Bonnie are in truth, Fredbear/Golden Freddy and Springtrap presumably from their time as animatronics and suits in game 4 or the location before game 4. The endo-skeleton that can be seen at times in the games, could very well be the one that belongs to Golden Freddy which explains why he looks lifeless when seen and behaves differently to everyone else.

Now let's talk about where Phone Guy and Purple Guy come in. It has been long rumored that these two are the same person as they both at one time, worked at a Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and the fate of them both, is very similar in that Purple Guy was killed by entering Springtrap after trying to escape from the spirits who would then take residence inside the animatronics with help from the Puppet, whereas Phone Guy's death can be heard in his call during Night 4 in game 1 where it sounds like all the animatronics from the game were all attacking him. This does make me wonder if they are the same person, but I can't say for sure.

As far as where the employees seen in the first 3 games come in, is simply a case of they were hired to do a night shift and that's it. Any one of them could've been a victim of the Bite of 87 due to the fact that they all keep coming back for more and that the Bite of 87 is explained to be that an animatronic bit the frontal lobe of a child which if its one of the night guards, explains why they keep coming back as they show no fear.

So that's my take on it. I know there is more lore in this series, but that's all I can really think about. So let me know in the comments on what theories you have on FNAF and if you're getting sick of seeing YouTube videos of FNAF's lore, don't worry. It won't be going on for much longer I would think.

Movie Review - Inside Out 2

I guess a sequel to the first makes sense here. I mean, for the most part, this franchise is all about the subject of growing up and with ...
