Video Game Review - Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India

So lately, I've been hearing rumors that there isn't going to be a Assassin's Creed game this year, at least a major triple A one anyway. Well given that Unity wasn't the best game of the series due to technical problems and it not having much to make it top Black Flag and the sales of Syndicate were not very good even though in my opinion that game was great, I think Ubisoft are wise in deciding to not release a major game in the series this year to give them time to redo the franchise and bring it back fresh and new. It not easy having to top a game from the same series every single year, but I will admit that at least Ubisoft make an effort in their games compared to Activison and EA Sports which just have very minor changes to graphics as well as the name and away it goes. But despite all that, we still have 2 games to go in the Chronicles series and here's what I think of the latest entry in the series:

So the second instalment takes place in India in 1841 during a time where the Sikh Empire was at war with the East India Company. We meet Arbaaz Mir who in the game, must retrieve an item that was once belonged to the Assassin Order from a Templar Grand Master in the hopes to protect him and his allies from evil. The gameplay remains the same as with China in that it acts as a 2D side scrolling platformer with 3D elements with some new weapons added to have the game be accurate to the time of which its set such as a Mughal and sikh sword among others. Plus like before, the graphics make the game look beautiful and make it feel like a work of art, if anything.

I'm not going to say that its a perfect game because it isn't. Some parts of it will take time in getting used to, but if you're into the history of India, then you'll enjoy this. It may not be the next major entry in the series, but it should tie you over until the next one, whenever that comes out. Still, it is a beautifully presented game with the graphics looking great. 7/10
