TV Episode Review - Purpose of the Machine (Agents of SHIELD S3, E2) + Knock, Knock (Gotham S2, E2)

This time, Coulson brings in an Asgardian to save an agent in Agents of SHIELD and there's a new group of villains that are causing havoc in Gotham:

Purpose of the Machine
So SHIELD has a guy called in to evaluate a new Inhuman for Daisy and her Secret Warriors team. Meanwhile, Ward has re-emerged and plans to rebuild Hydra and manages to abduct a powerful ally in the process. May spends her leave time to look after her father, but SHIELD soon start to want her back. And Coulson and Fitz bring in an ally of theirs to help save Simmons. So a lot going on, but it does mean the series is starting to get going. Hydra being bought back, travelling in space, all while getting us prepped for Civil War and using some elements from the Secret Wars storyline from the comics. Very good stuff indeed. 9/10

Knock, Knock
So Bruce is wanting to find out the truth and Alfred, being afraid of what could happen, chooses to help Bruce train physically to help find the murderer of his parents, recruiting Lucius Fox to assist any way he can. Meanwhile, the Arkham escapees who now call themselves the Maniax, wreck havoc in Gotham, making the GCPD feel vulnerable in the process. The more I watch Jerome, the more I realise how much insane he is. I know he's meant to be the Joker, but boy he really is living the role I have to say. Never underestimate a crazy person is all I have to say on that. Aside from that, it was a great episode and I hope we get more craziness like this in future episodes because I'm starting to like it, in a very strange way. 9/10
