TV Season Review - Legion (Season 1)

The X-Men films have always had this problem with continuity so I found it hard to establish any connections it has with this show. Don't get me wrong, it is a great show, but its better when you have something connected to it. But anyway, let's get to it:

Taking place in an undisclosed time in the X-Men Cinematic Universe, we meet David (played by Dan Stevens), the son of Professor Xavier who gets diagnosed with schizophrenia at a young age and going into mental hospitals since then. But when he encounters a fellow psychiatric patient, he then plays on the possibility that there may be more to him than just a mental illness which could very well see him do some good in the world.

One of the best things about this new show is that it chooses not to follow the standard in anything in the superhero genre and just does its own story telling. Every episode I feel is like watching someone having their mind f**ked with to an extent where it almost feels like watching the Matrix or Inception. It's an interesting show, but can be hard to get to grips with though it has some nostalgia value in it like its soundtrack and just the way people look. I like it and I look forward to seeing where things go in future seasons. 9/10
